The new Into Eternity track "Diagnosis Terminal" is complete tripe.

A band who imo are masters of song structure took their sound and and jigsawed the fuck out of it. The arrangements are fucking putrid!!! It would set the mood quite nicely at a Sonja Wu inspired fashion show.

New Iced Earth- Checking out now, comments to come after I pick up a steak and peppercorn sandwich. :kickass:

Is it just me or is RC running like Internet Explorer v1.01?

Iced Earth - Framing and Crucible have been a disappointment.

Into Eternity - loved the first couple, especially Buried in Oblivion, and the last one with Stu on vocals was solid. Have no interest in a disc about cancer. Plus, everything I've read tells me that a band who couldn't pull off their material live, has decided to make their sound more complex. Sounds like a bad idea.

Internet Explorer - only use Firefox.

I listened to the new Into Eternity disc... complete and utter balls. The band started off decent, but have gone waaaaaaaaaay downhill with the last few releases.

Iced Earth, haven't listened to the new one yet. Having heard so many bad opinions on it, I'm just not feeling the want to do it.

i have no interest in IE, IE, or IE

This is starting off pretty decent. What was everyone expecting? Edit - Harbinger of Fate!!!! :kickass:

The complexity of a ballerina waving a hand grenade. They need to revert back to the style exhibited in Buried in Oblivion and throw this Stu faggot in front of a bus.

Same.

Into Eternity is easily one of the worst bands I've seen live. I've seen them 3 times and they were just horrible each time. I really liked Buried in Oblivion a few years ago too and seeing them in concert almost made me not a fan of theirs anymore. Since then my taste has changed a lot and I don't think I'd be able to sit through one of their albums.

I'm listening to the new single track from Iced Earth. Not bad stuff. Barlow returning to the band really helped making the stuff more tolerable, but they really need to find a new producer. Their sound is way too bland.

I really don't want to shit on Into Eternity's live show, but I must admit that Tim Roth did appear to be struggling in pulling off his own riffs. I thought he was about ready to have a coronary.

I'll give him an A for effort.

When I saw Into Eternity live, they were spot on, but this was like at least 4 years ago.

EDIT: I saw the other guitarist, not Tim Roth.

The music possessed tremendous fluidity four years back (Pre tSoA). Having Chris Krall as the front man didn't hurt either.

The new stuff sounds like an Asperger's inflicted Chinaman on a xylophone.

Through no fault of my own, I've seen Into Eternity live on six occasions. They've been varying shades of terrible on each of those occasions. And mind you, I love their music on disc.

Good god... worst possible Iced Earth setlist... What is there, 4 good songs?

Why the fuck is Barlow singing more Ripper material than Ripper sang live? I'm glad I'm not traveling to see this.
