Any of you interested in airshows? Well, my step brother was recently selected to be a Thunderbird pilot. Their shows start this coming weekend in Phoenix (Luke AFB) and at Pt. Mugu (Southern Cal/Oxnard area) the following. I'll be heading to both. If you go to any, you can spot him flying the number 2 plane (which is the left one in the diamond formation). His name is Chris Austin. Say hi to him and tell'm you know Red Shirt!

Here's their website which shows the complete schedule (includes some European shows too):

(I had problems with MS Explorer, but got Mozilla Firefox application to work.)

If I wasn't flying back from Germany next weekend, I'd hitch a ride with you.

Only been to one air show since they closed El Toro. Used to love watching the Blue Angels practice during the week. We'd sit on the carport roofs in our complex and watch them fly over.

They had a Stealth one year at El Toro, too. I was driving back to work from lunch and it flew right over me at a very low altitude. :yow: By the time I got pulled over and my camera out of the glove box, it was just a small black speck in the distance.
