I've heard the others are good or at least interesting, too!
firedwarf, i had some friends who were really into LARP, and they got me and a couple of others to LARP a few times, and finally we said, "look, this isn't getting any funner like you said it would and 3/4s of the people here are hopeless fools" and quit. and convinced our i-love-LARP friends to leave too, collapsing the local LARP chapter and causing us to be hated nationwide in the LARPing community.

this show sold out like 9:30! we barely made it in!
afrirampo was interesting in a Melt Banana-ish way. the band before them (umm made in mexico maybe? i'm not sure) had a screamy female vocalist who was like Jordan from Big Bear except not awesome. i wasn't into them.
lightning bolt was really fun! set up on the floor and everyone surrounded them...it was packed tight and really sweaty and the whole crowd was moving around in waves, but no one assholed out and started spinkicking or anything.
