Thursday Night Lineup?

I too am hoping this won't be an all acoustic set. I was at the DC Cooper all acoustic set of his solo cd at Progpower VI, which was pretty sparcely attended if I recall correctly. Which is shame because it was quite good. I'm a DC Cooper fan, so I will be going one way or another. The dead silence when the DC Copper show was announced was awkward, I have never seen/heard it like that before. I will say I heard a LOT of negative comments about this being the Thursday Headliner after the announcement too. I hope really this gamble pays off and the crowd reaction wasn't a sign of poor ticket sales to come. Dragonland and Almah are fantastic so they should draw a good amount of sales as well. Best of luck Nathan!

Not trying to start any fights, but I really wish Dragonland and DC Cooper were reversed.

Dragonland's first ever show in the states is going to be, what, 75 minutes and an opener. Meanwhile DC Cooper(that NO ONE reacted to in the crowd) is going to be playing three US shows or whatever, and is headlining?

Meep. I feel like as awesome as Anathema is, and as (I assume) good as DC Cooper is, I feel like it's totally a misstep. Falconer's final show should allow them to play a set AS LONG as they want. Dragonland's first(and very possibly last) US show should be as long as they want. But whatever.

You look to be new here. There is one holy gospel around these parts, and it goes a little something like this.

"In Glenn We Trust( and Nathan because he learned well from Sensei)"

I mean, I love most of the bands and i'm sure i'll have fun regardless.

I'll just be a bit bummed if Falconer only gets to play for 70 minutes, while Anathema plays for 2+ hours.

This year, the direct support slot got 90 minutes - whether it's the same next year remains to be seen, but I'm sure that Glenn worked with Falconer to come to a situation that everyone is happy with. Also, Anathema is going to be a phenomenal set. I'm more excited for Falconer in some ways (mainly because I've been wanting to see them since their first album and finally get the chance), but having seen Anathema playing a small club, they're going to absolutely own Center Stage. Some of the power metal fans may check out mentally, but it will be their loss.

Keep in mind,as much as I and others like Falconer, they are NOT a band that plays often. I'd say 70 minutes is about right.

Dragonland, essentially, is getting a headline set, even if they are not the headliner. In the initial post for the Thursday lineup, it stated they would get 90 minutes. That's more than enough time for them.
