This is actually a great style of singing-- I highly recommend you all watch a movie called Genghis Blues. It is about a blind Bay Area singer named Paul Pena (he wrote Jet Airliner- the Steve Miller song) who travels to Tuva (between Russia and China) to enter a throat singing competition. He mixes throat singing with traditional blues.. There is another Tuvan band called Yat Kha that does Led Zeppelin covers-- they are AWESOME.. Think Bay Area Rock Fest 2008 buddy!!
