Tired of GuitarPro BS? Meet TuxGuitar.

Please do. I am new to the program and so far so good, but I would love to check if anything that may be important to me is missing!
Only thing I remember so far is that there was no mixer (F10 in GP) so you can't program pan/volume/etc changes. Maybe it was me that couldn't find it. Also the instrument selection page is way disorganized, while GP is divided in pianos, strings, etc.

Really? What the hell where they thinking?

they got a new drum writing system which is easy and fast as soon as you learn it, took me 10 min to get as fast as in gp5

only thing i dont like about gp6 is that alot of tabs that are made with older GPs wont sound good until some own tweaking is made

You´re right. It has a mixer to set volume, fx and pan, but it does not have that automation panel thing to change instrumments and parameters of a track in the middle of the song. And the midi instrument selection is indeed messy because they´re all together on a dropdown menu instead of separated by sections.

one thing i really miss on mac(i used to use this heaps on PC) is that you cant open 2 fucking instances or different tabs at once, for copying between a bunch of different tabs. WHY THE FUCCCKK. hope they fixed that with 6.

i remember using tux ages ago. if i remember right, it wouldnt open a few of my tabs. might give it another go.
