I do that regularly with bands in general. Its a lot of fun. Listen to a lot of crappy stuff though...
I'm trying not to listen. That will only lead to snap decisions based on superficial impressions. I'm reading what they've written about themselves and making decisions on whether to buy their demos based on that.
Well, when inquiring about purchases I do it in a way where I kinda hope they go "Oh, a zine? Just give me your address..." So far it's 50/50 whether they do that or not.
