Curious to know what you all think about the Martin era stuff. I went through a period where I was listening to those albums a lot. Recently I've been playing the "Eternal Idol" and "Cross Purposes" records quite often. Personally I really like this era of Sabbath. Those 2 albums mentioned above are my favorites from the Martin era, but the rest I feel are all quality releases, wi the exception being "Forbidden". To me, it sounds way to rushed and not very well thought out.

I'm a big fan of Tony Martin as a vocalist. I've heard people say he's kind of a Dio rip-off, but if you ask me I think he found his own and his style fit the sound Sabbath had going on with those albums he sang on. Thoughts?

I don't think it's entirely bad (read: Cross Purposes is okay, I like the few songs from Forbidden I've heard)... but the rest is atrocious IMO.

I can't bear to listen to Headless Cross or Tyr, they both use more synth and reverb than a thai hooker does makeup.
