Too much bass response?!?!

Hey all! I have noticed ever since I have put my Tannoy 6d's on stands w/foam the bass response is really boomy listening to CD's and my own mixes.

My monitors are set at the correct height/angle.

Would it maybe be that they are too close to the wall?

(also my room has 0% treatment could be that?)

Also I upgraged from KRK rocket 8's, Which were boomy to begin with, but the tannoys are sooooo much clearer in the mid/high range. But damn are they really bassy.

Any help/suggestions would be great, this is really starting to bug the crap out of me!

Yes, buuuuut I forgot to add When I had my KRK's I never noticed it being this bad.




...Could be my ears are getting more rad? hahahah, probably time to start investing in some rockwool eh?
