TOOL - New album in progress

Why last?

Offtopic, I love your album, been listening to it a lot lately :worship:

Thanks man :D, I actually saw your head pop up on my last fm page once and had always wondered if you liked it or hated it lol

I think it will be their last because of Maynard. I'm a bit of a Maynard fanboy, and his most recent interview I found was him saying his voice was "toast" and the perfect cirlce tour wasn't going so well. He also said things in the last few years about collapsing after a tool tour and his body not being able to take it anymore, he always seems to be buzy with something that isn't tool, and I think his voice is changing. Puscifer has almost no actual singing on the album, it's that low voice thing he is doing on 10,000 days, bootlegs on recent tool tours he seems so uninterested and he is singing with no force. James Hetfield doesn't seem to have a problem singing horribly and ruining his legacy with new albums, but I think Tool would take the high road and bow out on a high.

But ultimately Tool take a long time to make albums, so once this album is released and Toured they will be in their 50's. I just don't see Tool playing their catalouge in their 50's,

But man I hope I'm wrong. They are my favourite band ever

The guitar tone on 10,000 Days is pretty much my benchmark of guitar tone. I fucking LOVE the tone at the start of Jambi - brutal as fuck.
