I was wondering, is there anybody who really enjoys tools videos? And if so can you answer why? I find them too difficult to digest.

while i like tool i have never liked their videos. Simply because the ideas that they put across are hard to understand because the imagery they use (while utterly pretentious) is so in your face obvious that it isnt as surreal as they are trying to put across, its like 'theres a guy with branches growing out of his eyes'..fuckin great... Thus in turn making the whole message of the song pretty useless.
I think tool just go a little bit overboard.
edit: the only good video ive seen is that pot video that was made by a fan i think.. That demonstrates the ideas of the song pretty well even if it isnt put together properly.

I enjoy their videos, even if I don't have an idea what they're about (or, if I do, it's probably wrong).
What I do like about them is the imagery is great and original, and it makes you feel - whether it's uncomfortable or anything else, not a lot of videos can do that. It's just so out there and unique I enjoy watching them.
Also, you've got to hand it to them for having the balls to do these type of videos, instead of having everything simple/in your face/just like any other video.

they're pure art, you watch them and come up with your own feelings/interpretations. i think they're brilliant, and adam jones puts alot of work into them.

I think they probably make the best videos I've seen.. I don't have any trouble interpreting them and they seem to prove what some people claim; that some psychedelics cause similar visions in every human being...

Not that it'd require drugs to understand them, I think I understood the concept of the cover art of Lateralus, and the videos seem to tread the same paths.

Tool videos - a league of their own. Amazing and amazingly weird and twisted. Adam the guitarist does a lot of the work that goes into those videos and he does a great job. But even though I love Tool videos I still prefer music videos by Floria Sigismondi, the one she did for Sigur Ros is pure amazing.

the videos just dont make sense. its rather irritating...

Have you seen the video for Stinkfist? Makes perfect sense if you dig deeper into the song lyrical meanings. But the same goes for all Tool videos, there are some really deep meanings and stories imbeded there. And to display these themes and stories Tool opts to tell them through these alien/human/beings that represent our primal and subconcious self.

I thought it is something about this!
But I suppose its too much for me, I just don't like them,
I might like some of the scenes but as a whole... no way!
maybe someday.

by the way, as we all know....
