Tool Videos...

If you don't like tool videos, you're a fucking idiot. Watch the new vicarious video, and then tell me they can't make music videos. Thanks.

EDIT: quit posting links to alex grey's artwork, he deserves all the credit. tool just made a name for him, although tool utilizes most of his imagery in their concerts and music videos, you should still give credit to where it came from.

I've seen the Vicarious video. I don't like it. And I maybe is should feat a fucking idiot, cause Tool is like fantastic and should love their vomit. but I have to admit... tool video clips don't work for me.

I don't remember where I stumbled upon it, but one of the directors for a tool video has a website thats pretty much his DMT journal and it explains all his DMT experiences and stuff like that and he mentions he directed one of their videos.

Tool videos all boil down to someone trying to recreate some hallucinogenic experience, whether it was shrooms, acid, dmt, ibogaine, whatever.

Its pretty obvious all this stuff is some divine revelation someone had while tripping.

I personally like tool videos for that very reason. Maybe its because I'm someone who understands the true meaning of an alternate reality through a trip.

I think they probably make the best videos I've seen.. I don't have any trouble interpreting them and they seem to prove what some people claim; that some psychedelics cause similar visions in every human being...

Not that it'd require drugs to understand them, I think I understood the concept of the cover art of Lateralus, and the videos seem to tread the same paths.

Just read this post, and Yea, you hit the nail on the head with that.

Tool videos are ALL about tripping. :)

That's a pretty obvious statement, which is why I believe, in my opinion, that people are being an idiot because they can't understand the concept of the videos that they make because they haven't tried to see it from a different mindset. I must say that the parabola video is easily reminicient of a mushroom trip, because i've been there before and I understand the concept that they are trying to make. There's a reason why Alex Grey's paintings are so intricate.
