i am not a drummer, i do not have a certain drum tone in my mind so i can live with the fact that it's preprocessed.
seriously this thing rules, tried it on a few projects from pop, to rock to metal and it fits instantly!
blend this with some other samples to get more vatiation in sound and BOOM!

so bad that EZ drummer has 8 outs only. if it had 16 i'd instantly sell superior 2+metal foundry.

Finally took the plunge and got ez drummer and metal machine for $114 total. I think I did well

How/where did you get that price?

I just bough the ezx Metal Machine! But now I have this sinking feeling that Toontrack may come up with the SD2 version really soon that will be better.
BTW, I do know this should work in SD2.

Yeah ez drummer (the plugin) is crap compared to the superior plugin, even for running EZX.

I'm honestly not hearing it being leaps and bounds better than combinations of previous Toontrack products. It sounds like it's definitely the best single metal expansion pack available, EZX and SDX alike, but mixtures of Avatar and MF definitely sound good in their own right. It sure would be nice to consolidate my drum samples to the space of a single EZX, though . 55+ gigs or whatever is a pain in the ass when the 600MB or so of MM sounds as good or better.
