Toontrack Metal Machine (new EZX)

Just stumbled over this on a German magazine website.

To give the gist, it's a new EZX due in Toontrack's metal month november.
Price should be 63 €. Drummer was John Tempesta, recording was done in Henson Recording Studios in LA.
And apparently, the mastermind behind all this was our Master, Mr. Andy Sneap himself.
I'll so have to snag this. Just for the artistic value of the cover .

Well, all EZX's run in SD 2 (that's what I thought they meant), but let's hope you're right.

Yeah guys all of the ezx's run in SD2.0. They just don't have quite as many options or samples per drum as the full SDX expansions. That's why they're cheaper.

Guys, what's the difference between EZX and SDX extensions? Aren't EZX at 16 bits and les freq? And SDX 24 bits and more freq? Or Am I wrong ?

Yeah the EZX's are 16 bit. They also don't have the bleed control

just for certain pieces.. metalheads has bleed control for ex on OHs, Kick, Snare

The EZX are 16-bit/44.1Khz and processed (compression, eq, room effects are all added).

The SDX are 24-bit/44.1Khz and not processed, you add all of the post-processing in SD2.0 or with your own plug-ins/hardware.

Hate to break it to your but that's wrong. Avatar, and New York Legacy and the new Roots are all processed. Only The Metal Foundry is all raw.

I really couldn't care less about bleed mics and 24-bit, I mostly use 16-bit anyway and almost never use mic bleed so an Andy Sneap Engineered expansion for cheap is fucking great.
