I anyway try to blend as much as possible to avoid same-ish sounds.
Wouldnt use a slate sample on its own for that reason for example.
I'll buy it too somewhen, keen how it will find use over here.

can anyone tell me if there is a general difference in
quality/quantity of the samples used in EZ Drummer and Superior 2!?
I know that S2 has 16 and 24 bit samples, but what about EZ,
16 bit samples only!?
I also know that Superior 2 has a few more extras to offer, like different
bassdrum beaters, brushes etc. but i am only interestet in the difference between the RAW and direct hits, especially on CYMBALS.
So, leaving out all the extra stuff, is there really a difference?
I own Superior 2, NY and Metal Foundry.
Now i am very interested in buying the new METAL MACHINES expansion
and i am thinking of buying it in a Bundle (EZ Drummer/Metalheads/Metal Machines)
Sure, i could just buy the Expansion and use it Superior2,
but i won't get any more quality this way right?
What about the general difference between EZX and SDX expansions!?

I think that EZ drummer is much easier to use, it also looks better to me
and it has all the features i need.
Superior is cool but it has way to much stuff i will never use,
so i am thinking about to "Downgrade" from S2 to EZ, ans sell S2+expansions.
EZ has also a lot more expansions which would cover my different styles much better.
What do you guys think?

Bought it and love it. Just spent a few hours with it. This easily destroys TMF. These are the best drum sounds I've ever heard from a sampler. Everything is usable.

do you have any RAW out of the box samples!?
Are you asking if I would record the drums individually so you can hear them?
Tonight I just installed it and ran through a lot of grooves while auditioning all the drums and the different snares. But tomorrow after work I could make some samples no problem.
a complete kit would be the best, just load up EZ drummer,
add a nice groove and export. maybe you can do it with each of the three kits, would be awesome!

The ride has it's own mic'ed channel, a departure from the usual Toontrack method of just overheads and room.

Thinking of selling TMF for this. I don't use it that much anyway and I really only liked the kicks. decisions, decisions.
Damn... do want. That, indeed, is the best ToonTrack library I have heard to date, if I'm being totally honest. It sounds like you really can use it without samples out of the box, which is incredible. Cheers to Andy for this, I am glad they let him take hold of the reigns, great job.

Well, I know that I can improve everything during the mixing process. I call that "mixing" and "tweaking the sound". It includes EQ, Compression and other things. You actually need that on drums, but I don't have to tell you that, right?
The reason you think it sucks is STILL because it's unprocessed, and you don't have a clue how to work with that. Simple as that.
Now you can be quiet and adore the latest awesome processed library from Toontrack.

I'm allready sure I'll purchase this when it's possible.
It really sounds great out of the box, keen to see how much it's possible to process them still, or if they are too much "mix ready" for that.
Also not sure if I like the overheads more then MF or not...maybe it's the picture of "EZ" in my head that lets me think it doesnt sound as good as it does
But damn, kicks smoke everything so far apart from Lasse's samples imo.
