This was a random find.Never heard of them but obviously John Moyer from Disturbed has a signature model with them.

And here is a UK dealer http://www.guitar.co.uk/traben/tags/Traben+Signature+Models

They go from 270 to 370. Pretty damn cheap.
Nice design, rockfield pickups in some but only basswood or Paulonia body wood.

Someone knows about paulonia tone wood? I searched the net and it seems to be a tone wood like alder(sort of)

Anyone tried these baby's?

I own a Traben Array Limited 5-string. They're really nice basses for the price. Plus they look pretty fucking sick.

I've played a few of them, there's a main dealer where I live. They're really nice to play, and really decent value for money - good spalted maple tops for like £300 is mad. The build quality seems good and consistent too.

Sound-wise, they're very smooth and have lots of sustain. The necks are nice and thin, which I like. They don't tend to have much growl, probably because the bodies are so small, but the active EQs are decent and they seem to be fairly versatile, so with an overdrive you could easily get a good rock/metal tone.

They're in the same kind of price range as the Yamaha RBX 374/5s (which are great, but don't have fancy woods/natural finishes etc.), and they're just as versatile and sound a bit better. I particularly like the Array series - I'd happily have one of those as a studio bass.
