I can relate to this song in so many ways, as anyone who was or is still part of a their regional hardcore scene can (especially us older folk who look back fondly at our own major hardcore scenes and remember how great it makes us feel to this day).

The opening bass line is killer and sets the stage for the whole song. Milano delivers one of the album’s most memorable lines “Hardcore you think it will last, here’s an elbow to the head and a boot to the ass.” The lyrics also pay homage to people’s participation in the hardcore scene and how they will always be remembered. Milano is speaking from the heart, and that’s when he does his best work. That’s the deal here.

Musically, it’s a well constructed piece consisting of hail pelting riffs that if played live will inspire me to get some of my fellow audience members to form the Wall of Death and bum rush anyone and anything not dancing.

I admit, I wasn't around to be a part of the original real hardcore scene. But, as a diehard fan of it, I love the song. Especially now with all the fake ass bands saying how their "keeping it real yo" but in all honestly its just a bunch of wiggers that are pissing on one of the best forms of music. Finally one song tells it like it is.
