This is what I came up with during a little free time.

I ended up with two different cardioid LDC's in XY about 7 inches from the 12th fret. Panned one hard left and one hard right for the test.

1a is with zero processing
1b has a high pass at 100, some compression, and a bit of verb thrown on it.

Let me know if I'm in the ball park or still sitting in the car.

I think the second track sounds great. The guitar goes a little out of tune, but I doubt that's do the micing technique...so keep it up!
