Hey everybody!
Tomorrow we will be recording vocals for my bands first release so I want it to be good! I was hoping to discuss techniques involved in recording and mixing screams. It will help a lot!

Make sure he does a good performance, good mic, double track parts to enhance a certain line or word in the song..
use saturation, compress it really hard, EQ it right, use the amount needed of Desser, make the right amount of space in the mix for the vocal to pop out. (vocals usually lay around 800hz to 2k id say)

Double everything at the very least!

I will probably record him with an mxl 990 condenser into a tube preamp running pretty hot. I'm not too sure about panning and effects like reverb though
