Trillian newbie

Hey all, I'm pretty sure there's some Trillian users hanging around here. Anyway, just bought it but I can't seem to get it to realistically "strum" or "run" as to how you would pick a bass guitar?

I have a 49 key Midi Controller, would that be the problem? Am I missing something here?

You need to change velocities note by note to get it sound realistic
