Hello, So I finally had the chance to play around with my triple X today so here you have a short but heavey clip. Please make any comments you like about the clip. Dont mind the sloppy playing, just recorderd to get the sound right

Only 2 rythm gtrs panned L and R, and one lead gtr.
Gtr, EMG 81 --> XXX line out --> Maxon OD808 --> Impulse Engl v30.

Tripple X's settings:

Mid 3
Hair 6
Bas 6
Gain 4

Maxon Od808 all about 9 o'clock.

Drms are DFHS (yeah what a a surprise right ), with Slate's snare nr 7(1,5 edition) and the "greatest kick ever" sample for the KD.
Almost no compression on gtrs, drms, or the mstrbus.

Also just curious what plug you use for impulses. I have a couple diffrent plugins but i want to try this same setup you got going and see if i can achieve this tone. I have the Peavey ultra plus but i think its basically the model before the xxx.

I use Sir2, and not that much Eq,

high and low pass 75hz and 12khz
a boost around 125, and a cut somewhere around 250-500,
a boost at 1,5khz and 4khz
Thats pretty much it and perhaps 2-3db of compression

Yea thats different. 808 after the line out, I also usually use in front of the amp also. You should try this both ways and post the difference crillemannen. Im kinda curious to hear it.....

Also what channel was xxx on ultra or crunch and what volume was the preamp on?
