i think it will... it's mainstream recognition... you might hear final product on your local FM stations saying "these guys will be playing at this summer's Ozzfest, check them out" could expand their fan base by probably 1000 listeners between live performances and possible radio plugs.

I think they might only get a dozen or two new fans from the shows because most people are there to see someone in particular. If Ozzfest had Nevermore, SYL, and Biomechanical on stage 1, I'm going to see them, I really dont give a shit about the bands playing stage 2. So I think a majority of people that are NOT there to see Nevermore, WONT see Nevermore, or just wont give a shit.

but thats just my shitty oppinion.

they might, but they might not. A Dozen Furies... what have they done since ozzfest? see?! nobody knows!
yeah, but they were one of those crappy ozzfest tv reality bands. they began and ended with ozzfest, whereas Nevermore have already been around for 10 years have have much more of a following and history than about 75% of the bands you see on ozzfest. i dunno if nevermore would get much out of ozzfest one way or another.

their set would be 20 min tops, so how much of an impression could they really make on people who don't really pay attention to anyone but the main acts, anyway?

i'd much rather see them spending the summer doing a smaller, less-commercial tour, putting together a dvd, working on new material, watching 24, or whatever would be more productive than ozzfest.

i voted false at first but really i just changed my mind to true. sure you have to pay to get on and even if you get an early timeslot ozzfest is still dominated by mallgoths who will look at nevermore and say OMGAWESOMEMETUL and probably buy an album or something plus they'd be on the radio maybe and stuff like that. so they would benefit.

even though i really never want to go to Ozzfest, I would go to see them and leave.

i really dont see how they couldnt benefit. its such a huge mainstream festival, that a band of NM's talent would have to get properly recognized.

although, i would be annoyed if all of these nu-metal-hardcore-whatever-the-fuck-its-called-now kids started to get into them.

not to mention it would be interesting to see WD get into a fight with Sharon...

I think it would benefit them, More publicity is a good thing, even if they're in the corner playing for 20 minutes. I mean whats the difference if they open for inflames or play at ozzfest.... I would say quite a few hundred more people.
