I downloaded a track from your site... nice vocals, but the music itself kinda bored me though. Keep up the work though and try and improve on it.
as for your comment, I believe the main accusation from purists is that Dimmu Borgir has deviated so far off from the traditional black metal sound and ideology that they cannot be classified as black metal anymore. Things such as their marketing shenagans with Nuclear Blast (logo condoms and the like) and other forms of promotion on many different levels can be accounted as well, as people like to tend to scream at the top of their lungs "sell-out!" at things like that as well. I don't blame them for the path they've taken, their music hasn't degenerated into useless too-overt stupidity such as the likes of bands like Cradle of Filth (some would argue for either side of this comment however), and they have fun with what they're doing. They make music, have a blast and they're getting successful for their efforts. Don't get me wrong, every musician wants their band to be a roaring success, unless your name is X-Botteri, or someone like him. The point stands, however, that they lost some of their BM sound and traded it for well done orchestration and production, as well as gone "commercial" which is also another accusation, but a minor one in significance to the changes present in the music which they create today.
