Trying to get a solid tone

Working on my band Zero System's first EP. It will be a national release so I want the tones to be rockin'. Anyways this is what I have going on so far but it seems a bit dark. Sorry for the sloppy playing but I was just messing around with settings for now.

Pod X3 Cali Diamond Plate model, Maxon Od-9, and the recabinet impulse "Ghandi EL34 57 Cap Grill". Thanks a ton. I just dont know if I am happy with it yet.

Sounds pretty awesome man.

I do think the fizzy quality in the high end is taking away from the sound of the whole mix, in that it makes it seem less full. I'd suggest maybe trying an impulse file that gives a bit more low end and with a little less harsh top end, or maybe get an EQ and cut out everything in the high frequencies up to and including somewhere between 5l and 10k (can't remember if that's called a low pass or a high pass).

Keep it up man and post more when you've worked on it.
