TUBE AMP HELP

Hi,
i have a harry kolbe the soundsmith tube amp but it doesn't have a very good distortion it's a used moded fender 65 twin reverb-amp my question is what would you do under this circumstances?

If it's distortion you want, then buy a distortion pedal!

i already got one but do have to change the tubes or send it to mod it again or what?

I don't really understand what the problem is.
Don't you get enought dist with your current pedal or is the amp or pedal not working or wtf? If you want an ok pedal with lots of dist get a Boss metal zone, works pretty good.

but when i hit the over drive with the amp it sounds ,without volume in the guitar like a reverse electrical car engine
