I always wanted to give this a shot and to me the ts7 and ts9 sound just the same. I'll upload the guitars only tracks tomorrow on SoundCloud and update my post here.

I agree. Both in my own experience and in all the shootouts I've heard, I have yet to hear a notable difference between the two. And dare I say it... I actually prefer the push-in knobs on the tone-lok series over a lot of pedals.

I've heard complaints about the lack of sturdiness of the ts7, but so far I've had no issues, and I must have used that pedal for about a decade now. Maybe I'm just lucky?

Did I mention it was cheap too?

Can't even get the TS7 anymore, sucks. Mine has been rock solid except for the fact that it won't run off batteries anymore so I have to use a DC power supply, other than that no complaints!

Is the Tone Burst supposed to be TS-inspired? Definitely doesn't sound as middy or cut as much low end.
