Turbo - Poland's answer to Maiden

Good shit from the Polskis from 09. These guys have been going an eternity but their album went under my radar. The production is better than Maiden's by a mile. If you miss energy in your Maiden styled metal Turbo can provide it. Mind you that main riff in this song is very close to robbery from The Wicker Man!

I mean check the riffs in the instrumental song below. You'll flat out fall in love with them. It sounds a bit like Genghis Khan or something. Something that Maiden either can't do or are unwilling to do any more. This song is the work of genius.

Something that Maiden either can't do or are unwilling to do any more. This song is the work of genius.

Steve Harris has stated he tries to stay away from the classic Maiden bass gallop on new music. He considers it done to death. But unfortunately he hasn't found a worthy replacement sound that is as energitic. Cool songs by Turbo. I may have to hunt down this CD but I don't care for the speed metal songs of their early years.

I don't know how their new album does sound, but I love their early albums. "Dorosle Dzieci", "Kawaleria Szatana" and "Ostatni Wojownik" are classics!!

Interesting ... I was just about to post that I vaguely remember TURBO from back in the day as one of the most laughed about metal bands of the time - the "Ostatni Wojownik" disc was rerecorded with English lyrics and released as "Last Warrior" on Noise Records - it sucked major ass as far as I remember, and I remember Metal Hammer slamming it completely.
