TV Commercials with Hot Chicks in Them and Commercials In General

The Activia commercial is probably the best one going right now.
If you ain't seen it, it's basically two 30 year old college chicks in a dorm room complaining about bloating and cramping - not from menstruation - but from not being able to shit regularly. One of them says, "Eat some Activia!" and then cutscene to them "going out" - evidently the one with the cramping ate Activia and took a huge shit. There's also a very wierd lesbian vibe going. NAD, anything to say about this?

Finally, some goddam support around here. So, what do you think about the lesbian vibe in the Activia commercial? Don't tell me it's not on the West Coast

I have no idea what you're talking about, I never watch TV. :loco:

Okay sometimes I do, but I haven't seen that one, sorry.

Commercials are their own artform.
They really are. My favorite ads are Bacardi ones from magazines, because they show people who are actually drunk, rather than showing perfectly sober people "enjoying" Coors Light while skiing down a mountain without dying. Bacardi always has some sweaty lookin' dude with 2 chicks that are half-naked because they are in an about-to-be-raped-but-don't-care situation. Also Absolut ads are pretty clever sometimes.

Cigar ads are the worst. Always lame and way too serious.

i keep scrolling from top to bottom in this thread just to see if there are pictures of hot chicks, but there never are any pictures. still haven't read a single post.

i can't stand the way they use sex to sell anything and everything...i never thought i'd see the day a hot nearly naked chick would offend me but i saw some magazine ad for shoes the other day which was like some dude, wearing the shoes of course, holding a naked chick up against a wall. my description is poor but it was amazingly sexist...moreso than the typical "hot chick holding product x" ad, and it made me go wtf!?!?

Yup, that is disgusting. I feel that the greatest sin of the commercial culture is that it contributes in a big way of making everything ordinary. A thing quickly looses its charm and shimmer if it's constantly on display and is turned into something completly mundane -- this I think is especially true regarding sex. Thus there is a constant search of new excitement and genuine experiences which can never end nor be satisfied for long in our current cilture. Moreover this search often turns towards the realm of the depraved and downright stupid. Thus the line separating the normal and the extreme is constantly pushed further in the direction of the latter, making today's extremes tomorrow's accepted and normal behaviour.

Anyhow, I think it will be very interesting to see where it will all end since it can't go on forever.

There was a program on British TV recently about the infamous bestiality film "Animal Farm". Anyway, at the end of the show they had a little commentary about the way porn and the internet are heading, and they essentially said the same thing you said, and I agree. I'm sure everyone here has seen some really sick and depraved stuff on the internet, and after a while it doesn't provoke the same reaction that it maybe once did. I think it's all a bit worrying really, and who knows what the norm will be in 10 or 20 years time.

I was looking for the Dreams Featuring RC Members thread and I found this. Clearly, one of my worst threads ever.
That said, Erik was in a dream I had last night
