Hey Guys!!

Just thought I'd share some info about the band in case any of you were wondering what ever happened to us - all two of you. :-)

Anyway, TWELFTH GATE is proud to announce that, as of last month, we've been signed by Crash Music Inc (formerly Pavement) for a 3-album deal. We're done writing the songs for our debut album & we're currently in pre-production. And, believe it or not, we've even got the studio booked. However, even though it may be possible for us to release it yet this year, we're realistically looking at a very early 2003 release. We've waited this long, what's another few months - right?

Also, we're very excited & pleased to announce that Travis Smith has been commissioned to do the artwork. Definitely can't wait to see what he's got in store for us.

One last thing. I've been working on somewhat of a website - http://www.TwelfthGate.net - for the band, and it's about half-way done if you guys wanna check it out. It's nothing spectacular, but if any bands/sites want to swap links, or if anyone else has any constructive criticism/suggestions on how to improve the site, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for reading & take care,
Rob

Congratulations on the record deal. I believe the band Deep is also on Pavement/Crash music Inc., (well their album "Pieces Of Nothing" is) and Deep opened for NEVERMORE and are a great band. Maybe Twelfth Gate and Deep could do some shows together. Keep us informed.
P.S. Glad you got Travis Smith to do the artwork, he' s very talented and has done cover art for some of my favorite bands (NEVERMORE, CONTROL DENIED, TESTAMENT, SKINLAB).

Thanks for the Congrats & the support; we really appreciate it.

Also, to FrostGiant - there is a VERY good possibility that we will be playing the Madison area as soon as we're done recording the album. We're good friends with another metal band up in that area (Talamasca), & we've promised them that we would come up to do a show with them real soon. I'll keep you posted.

Take care guys!

Talamasca's pretty cool. I'm also a pretty big fan of Nightmare's End from Madison. Actually I like a lot of music in the WI/IL area. November's Doom, Em Sinfonia, You're Pretty, Cobs Web to name a few. I spent a lot of time hanging out at The Annex in college so I saw a shit load of area bands. Some good, some not so good. Oh, and the band I'm listening to know kicks ass too, but they're from Ohio.

Actually, we're really good friends with them as well, but I didn't mention them before because, last I heard, their future was questionable. I recently heard that the drummer (Bob aka. Raven) is leaving the band, & since he was most of the driving force behind NE, I have no idea what will happen. If they're still around when we're ready to come up, I'm sure they'll be joining us on the bill.

Last time I saw Raven (months ago) he said they were shopping for a label. He also said they had some shows coming up, but I think those all got cancelled so I have no idea whats going on with them. I live in GB now so I have a hard time keeping track of what's going on in Madtown. If he bails, they'll definitely have a hard time replacing him.
