Two-Pre party suggestions...

Well we play all over the south east and will be doing further reaching tours in 2007 with the release of our 4th album. I see no reason why bands like us and HW should not be promoted in our own region in such a great way as the Showcase. Show some support and love to the up and coming bands in this region. We are in virtually every magazine and webzine, Metal Maniacs, BW&Bk and all the rest I don't see that many of the these so-called "established bands" have been promoted anymore than we have. Just my two cents. It just pains me that only a handful of bands fight to survive playing this kind of music in the south and we have a great festival here but we can't further the cause of melodic metal in the south in association with a great event like this.

Here! Here! Herumph!
I couldn't have said better myself. We are all in this together. Supporting the scene, is also Creating the scene, and that means promoting the up and coming bands as well.

Or...

Odin's Court [...] or Division

=d

Hmmm ... the ProgPower Pre-Party/Showcase already gives me that great "home-coming" feeling ... if this happened, then it really would feel like I'm home - watching a show at Jaxx.

 Haha, just kindding guys. You know I love your stuff and would love for either of your bands to have the opportunity to play the festival.

Some completely unbiased suggestions *koff*koff*:
Attacker
Enertia
Agalloch
aTtAcKeR
Novembers Doom
Vainglory
AttACKer
Chris Caffrey
Ignitor
... and did I mention... ATTACKER? :goggly:

In an unrelated story, New Jersey's Attacker will release a new CD in 2007.

Galloglass would be awesome, but does Shane have enough of a budget to sign three European bands with record deals with decent labels?

Vanden Plas alone must have busted the budget.

HW played the pre party before...I think its now become a bigger thing and if your band has the talent to play at that level, leave people wanting more and creating a sitr then yes bands like yours should be ale to get there. Its just bands like Vanden Plas, Circus Maximus, Freak Kitchen, Circle II Circle and Leatherwolf are playing it now and the people that go to this even want more from "our" genre's..My two cents

idk, but Galloglass is great on Legends from Now and Nevermore, Heavenseeker wasn't all that good but alright imo.
