Two songs from Will Bozarth and I.

My whistle is yours, old friend.

Just so you know, all of that was recorded using a Clarke Sweettone in the key of D. They cost like....$8 on Amazon. Definitely worth it. It's same one Tobias from Falkenstein uses. You definitely want to get one that's in the key of D, though. My first tin whistle was C# and it was utterly useless.

Hmmmm... Recently I've been writing stuff with guitars in C#/Db, wouldn't I want one in the same key?

Good to know Tobias uses that. I've been listening to a lot of Falkenbach the last few months.

Erm, Falkenstein, haha. A one man neo-folk gig from Germany not to be confused with Vratyas Vakyas (which means Searching Wanderer) from Falkenbach. I highly reccomend getting Falkensteins first album "Heiliger Wald" it's one of my favorites of all time. The others are pretty good, but that debut was a masterpiece.

I mean, yeah, if you're in C#, it's fine, but most guitars that accompany tin whistle music is in Standard E (or in my case Drop-D), not to mention D is the most common tuning for them. Check this guy out, Max.

And now here's me playing the same song with the same whistle I showed you, that he also used. Really cool guy, when I was 17 I asked what it was. He referred to it as a little "celtic whistle" and gave me a link. :)

Shows that I never bother to learn the names of people behind bands. Should have been obvious though because all of Falkenbachs accompaniment is obviously synth.

I do remember Falkenstein from years ago, been a while. Good stuff!

an additional edit: I would love to make some non-metal neo-pagan folk like this...

Same. Empiric is nearly done, now it's time for Neo-Folk. We can do this together, you and I....

I'm serious, Max. You lay down the guitar, and I will go out and buy a new microphone for recording the whistles and if needed, vocals and additional guitars.
