I value vinyls higher than the others because, to me, it is a format that is used and stored and produced with true devotion; when you want something to be as good as can be, release it on vinyl. Analogue sound, will sound great forever if maintained well, ace cover art and inserts, looks pretty, feels good to hold and feels great to play while in a dark room with a cold beer. I own mostly CDs for convenience and play mostly mp3s for even more convenience, but that was not the question.

You totally speak my mind.

I agree too, and that's why I try to buy my favourite albums on vinyl. I definitely value my vinyl copies of those albums more than the CD versions I own.

Dude totally. Granted, I love the practicallity that CD and mp3 formats bring, but there's nothing quite as amazing as watching an 8-track shit out halfway through The Ocean Song, or wearing down your 9th rate copy of Sailing the Seas of Cheese on an already 9-year old blue-stickered blank tape.

Memories...

EDIT: HIGH SPEED DUBBING!!! :kickass:

Cassettes kinda fucking suck. The only pro-option is the price, and even that is barely (if even) pro these days as cds and cdrs are getting cheaper and cheaper. True, it's an analogue format, but the quality detoriates faster than any other popular format and rewinding and forwarding sucks and all four of my tape decks now eat tapes. Some of my tape are VERY NMICE INDEED so I hate my decks.

Perhaps, I should invest ina record player... because I've always found them to be a pain in the ass, and not sounding as well as a CD.
