I dunno, I don't think Dave Mustaine is a good vocalist at all, but yet he's beyond fucking awesome. Does that makes sense?
He seems to really totally lack technical skill, but his voice is PERFECT for the band. Proof that technique is not everything and how it's just about it sounding good first and foremost

I get what you mean, and I can totally agree with you on that in their first albums, but the later albums have shown he can actually sing, I love the vocal harmonies you can find in albums like System has failed, World needs a hero and others, and he really puts emotion in the melodic choruses

Lots of excellent singers in this thread. Am I the only one who thinks Dave mustaine is an exceptionally awesome singer? not only do I love the Rawness of his early albums (peaked at Rust in peace, best thrash album EVAAARRR), but after a few years he even learned to sing very good and not losing his signature sound in the process, I love his singing on the System has failed for example.

I gotta say though, Burton Bell from Fear Factory is such a terrible singer it's not even funny, people shouldn't take him seriously at all
