I'm sort of new to metal, I've been living under a Rock (pun intended) for so long but recently have gotten into these bands:

Gojira
Within the Ruins
Suicide Silence
Nile

Just joined (obviously), and hope someone has similar tastes as me. Oh yeah, and as weird as it may seem I'm a dork that's never been in a fight, if you saw me in real life you'd probably think I'm a hippie or something, most people are surprised when they look on my MP3 player

anyway, Hope to learn a lot about metal as a new listener and learn a lot of other bands.

Welcome, I joined a couple of hours beofre!

Metal is awesome. You seem to be in the metalcore, hardcore,deathcore and etc. side of the metal which comes from punk. You should try and listen to some dimmu borgir, immortal, ensiferum, amon amarth which are on the other side of metal(black/viking metal).
