Well the name didn't have Alexi in it but it had CoB in it. The reason why I took Rivfader was because Finntroll kicks ass, that song kicks ass, and that is the name of my troll warrior in World of Warcraft.
 
Good points EagleFlyFree and even Tut Ankh whatever. I pretty much agree with everything EFF posted on this thread. And yeah Tut, that pic is hilarious. However, are you really surprised that I lack respect for people who have no respect for me whatsoever? Most of the people on this board are just fucking around just for fun. It's just a waste of time to try to take people seriously who aren't even being serious. I think there's a lot of cool people on this board but others are just constantly trolling around and it really hurts the atmosphere over here.

It's a good thing that we're talking about this now. I do agree that some of the posts (mine included) have gone a bit too far and deserved to be deleted (my edit of Alexi with a cock suddenly comes to mind :lol: ). Outright abusive or insulting threads do need to be deleted. Still, the deletion of posts and threads has ALSO gone a bit too far; we need to have the liberty to post our opinions on the band and albums without fear of being censored. I can imagine that band wouldn't like to read posts about how they sold out but the truth is that they, erm... how should I put this? Did.

I don't think most of the users posting here are trying to be disrespectful. From my point of view, they all take these posts as the jokes they're supposed to be. Even the whole "webführer" thing is nothing more than a joke. Hell, we'd all be banned by now if this forum really was under nazi moderation. It would be a good thing if you could send us a PM whenever one of our messages is removed. It is in your best interest to show the users the reason why the post was abusive and had to be removed.

While on the subject of deleting posts... Could you PLEASE delete the two offending posts in the last few pahes of the Bringer thread? You'll know what I mean as soon as you see them...

Not only is is a waste of time, but its an effort in complete and utter futility that will only cause frustration. Overall, I concur wholeheartedly.

To some extent I actually agree. I might've been a bit trigger happy, your provocation has done the damage. However, if you don't like the band's latest album and you think the band sold out just because you don't like it, then maybe you'd be better off posting on some other boards. I don't wanna get myself into an argument whether the band sold out or not so don't even try to get me into one. I'll just say this : You and many others have sure as hell already expressed their dissapointment in the new album. We already know what you think. I'm not asking you to like the album, I'm just asking you to move on.

Like I previously said, I've been a bit trigger happy and deleted a few posts that were rather borderline. But still.. don't be ridiculous. How about you take another glance at the board rules and stop acting so surprised when your abusive posts get deleted.

As you can see, the only times i complained about anything was when the "non-harmful" (at least in my point of view) were closed and/or deleted. I do agree some people went for pure trolling, but hey, that's like puberty, it's a phase, and apparently it's getting better now.
people here aren't really used to moderation, cause all the mods so far have been... people here, who were just as sarcastic and pricks as we all always were :p
so, i DO think that we can "fix" things, we just have to have more mature conversations like the one we're being able to have now.

I think a lot of the users here don't really visit this board specifically for CoB anymore; most of us old users simply come here out of habit -- to chat, joke and fool around with each other.

I'm not trying to get you into one. I know we have more than expressed our opinion on the new album already. Still, you can't say that there have been many "I hate AYDY" threads recently. Sure, we might crack a few jokes on AYDY with the new users sometimes, but those are mostly in good fun.

I'm well aware of that. The problem is just that this board is for people who like COB. It's the band's own board, not a board for the people who were here first.

There hasn't been many threads named I hate AYDY but most of the threads recently have turned into I hate AYDY threads.

Dude, 90% of the "trolling" done here is by old members who are jsut having a laugh. Aye, sometimes it goes too far but then again, you have to realise that a lot of us have used this as a forum for a few years and have kept it alive in the times when CoB didn't have all the worldwide success.
I call a truce and will have a brew with you at wacken for old and good times sake :lol:
