People have bitched at me before for this so excuse my ignorance, but what exactly am I doing wrong (normally, I don't fiddle with lastfm much, if at all--which makes me wonder why I even use the program, but meh) ?

Well besides having the numbers in the title section of your id3 tags (that's wrong right off the bat...tracks should auto-sort if you put the track number in the CORRECT part of the id3 tag), you have Darkthrone's Soulside Journey tagged weird, particularly "Sempiternal Sepulchrality"...which you have apparently as "Past - Precense View Sepulcharality" which is...just hilariously wrong. And "Accumulation Of Generalization" is right, not "Accumulation of Genralization"

Last.fm requires correct tagging to really do anything for anyone, so that's why people are bitching at you.
