On paper, this combination of musicians seems like it should be right up my alley, but strangely, the song isn't really doing much for me. Actually, Kiske's singing seems to be the weakest element to me on first listen. Perhaps I'll listen again in a few days and see if my perception has changed.

It's not too often that I hear a song that's so characteristic of its composer's style that I can identify who wrote it before the drums even kick in, but by God, this is one of those times.
