does anyone have any insight on this?


i am currently using a firepod via firewire as my interface and by the fall hopefully i can budget to get a much better setup via like an apogee ad/da converter and possible a 2 or 4 channel pre like a great river or api or avalon or whatever. bottom line is i thought maybe i should pick up one of these now due to their realtive affordability. is it worth paying like $800 or so so i can get something better or without a high class ad converter i might as well stay with the presonus firepod???? i'd be using the single channel for vocals and guitar.

the 610 is good but clips easily, well it does on th 2 610 anyhow, nice pre, but you might wanna look at something more versatile

so i might as well wait a little till i can spend like $3000 on a nicer multi channel pre like a great river, or avalon, focusrite, api etc etc????
