how many bands still owe u money? what will u do?

ive been tracking these 3 bands for the past 2 months to get my $$ back for producing their songs. i just hate lame reasons! :Puke:

well.. if you had no contract and you gave them the product already.... you may have a very tough time indeed.

Nope, no contract bro.. but their songs are still here. Mine is just a small studio. But if anyone can share how their contract looks like... sort of professional looking perhaps, it'll b a big help.

one band just texted me yesterday they gonna come and pick their song tomorrow. how many time is tomorrow?! hah!!

Any agreement signed between 2 parties on paper is a contract. Even if it's on a napkin. Just write up something like "This is an agreement between X and X" then list what services/products they will get and what price they will pay. Have both parties sign and you will now be able to go after them in small claims court if they don't pay you. You have to pay filing fees and court costs but the judge will order the party that owes you $ to pay for that if you win.

In civil law in Ireland and uk a contract would exist even if there was no writen agreement ie verbal contract which is of course legaly binding and easyer than you might think to prove ie implied contract

Dont know what the story is in the states but there is a comback here although for a number of legal and professional reasons it is better to have a written contract in place if only to clear any ambiguiety between the partys
