Unsubstantiated Maiden tour rumour, Number 83372

I have heard from a very reliable source on the internet that I've never met or even spoken to before that Maiden are in negotiation to headline at the Big Day out in 2005.

Let the speculation, griping and disillusionment begin (again)!

#1 - maiden won't tour here

#2 - BBO would be far more likely to want a band that has some actual mainstream popularity to headline. Not that mainstream popularity (or lack of) means jackshit to me personally, but it obviously makes a lot more sense from a business point of view.

Every BDO for the last 6 years was going to be the last one.

Not true-they were considering not having it ever again after the Puddle Of Bizkit stuff in 2001,and 2004 was long considered to be the last one,but dates have been announced for next year anyway.1997 was also briefly considered to be the last ever.The other years possibly being the last have just been speculation on everyone's part.
