Jesus is my favorite superhero and Satan is my favorite cartoon character. I for one am rather enjoying the influx of occult/satanic heavy metal. Good, evil fun and it puts a wicked grin on my face. You won't find me sacrificing goats anytime soon, but it's a great bit of over-the-top fun. I'm not really a fan of Ghost, the music doesn't hit hard enough for me but I quite like Portrait, this new Attic, Midnight Priest, Satan's Host and so forth. The latest HELL album stands a head above them all though!

If you like the Dimmu style you may dig some Hollenthon. I have no idea what they're singing about, but I don't think it was over the top. Check out their Domus Mundi album.

In Solitude - Faceless Mistress
I personally enjoy In Solitude's most recent album more, but both are stunning. I posted something from the first record since that's a little more MF/KD-ish since the newer one sees them developing their sound and standing more on their own. Both are highly recommended and I can say without a doubt that they are the best new band in Heavy Metal right now.
