F Fortvivlaan New Metal Member Oct 30, 2010 12 0 1 Canada Nov 1, 2010 #2 I have a $100 pair of Altec Lansing's; it has a 250 watt subwoofer. It's AWESOME for metal. In my opinion, metal sounds horrible without a subwoofer; unless it's lo-fi stuff like LLN Black Metal.
