not that is difficult, its just not as profitable. unless some other populer band wants to tour with them.

I'm sure my friends in Suspyre (website, myspace) wouldn't mind opening for them on a few east-coast gigs

Edit: perhaps there could be an Evergrey / Threshold double headliner gig Someone with a bit of influence should start asking around about that! I bet the guys in Threshold would love to tour the US as well. Though after the Essence of Progression tour they'll be hitting the studio. But perhaps it's an option for after that?

Considering Into Eternity did it, wouldn't seem to far fetched if EG opened up for Dream Theater on a US tour. That would have one hell of a turn out and Prog fans of the US would be extremely happy.

dream theater's a possibility, if they didn't just tour, but i doubt threshold, it would probably have to be an american band headlining, maybe kamelot when they're done with there album, or any of the gothenburg metal band like flames, dark tranquillity, arch enemy, etc

This would be a fantastic tour! I would just hate to pay the Dream Theater ticket prices for a good Evergrey show.

I'm just itching to see them live again, period. They canceled their last two shows in the US last spring (after I bought a plane ticket) and then the German Misadventure made me miss them at PP Europe. It's been well over three years now, and I used to see them 2-3x *every* year.
