Usage of Samples.

Hi guys.

This may be a stupid question but...

Im wanting to replace the recorded bass drum sound with a sample. Possibily using one that has been made availiable for download over these forums, i.e the Andy Sneap one.

Am I allowed to use this on something that could be released for sale or would there copy right issues?

Grab a few samples and mix them up. Take elements from each that you like and turn it into your own sound, that way you avoid the copyright issue and you don't feel like a total failure, having to use someone else's material on stuff you've released and been paid for. Leave that for pop and hip-hop
