Hi guys, do you use audiowarp (elastic audio or something like) when editing guitar tracks (DI)?

And wich algorithm (plucked, drums, pads, vocals, solo, mix, advanced) do you use?

I am using Cubase.

Sorry for the beginner questions. Thanks.

We always do slip editing, in special cases, when slip doesn't do the trick, we start streching things with warp functions. But only small parts, like single hits etc. Tends to mess up the low end sometimes. Be careful when you use it on bass DIs. Listen if it's killing anything important in the sound. If it's tolerable, do it. If not, stay away.

Thanks guys. I need to learn about slip editing. I am noticing that the sound distorts when I use stretch edition, even small adjustments.

stretching usually mangles the sound a bit, I only do it when necessary. usually lead guitars I find it most useful on....

Thanks for the answer. Wich algorithm do you use to do the minor adjustments?

Do you guys have some tips or tutorials about slip editing?

Thanks.

^^^ try and do a search or look through the stickies for tutorials. I'm too lazy to link anything but I'm sure a quick type of "cubase slip editing" on youtube will give you some meat to chew on

My approach for editing guitars, is usually saying
"do it again"

and OCCASIONALLY i'll nudge something
