Don´t know if there are wavelab users around here. The title says it all. I´m working on a simple audio montage: 1 stereo track and a mono track. On the mono track i want mono plug-ins but whenever i choose them, no sound gets in or out of the plug in. it only works if i change to "mono" on the master section but then the song on my stereo track turns to mono so it´s not the way. If i put a stereo plug-in on the mono track, there´s sound only on the left channel.
well is there a way to work things around ? or am i missing something ?

Not familiar with wavelab, but on cubase this usualy happens when I have the master out in mono and not in stereo.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

i have wavelab 4 and it pretty much only does stereo files. i know 5 is supposed to do more tracks. you could always mix in a different program and then do a stereo file in wavelab. i think wavelab is more meant as a stereo editor/mastering tool rather than a multitrack sequencer. but if you havent tried opening it as a montage instead of a wave i would try that. sorry i cant be of more help. i will ask some friends who may know more about wavelab 5 than me.

I've never used the montage function, but maybe you can make the mono file into a fake stereo file...? Either "save as" stereo or copy the mono channel into both sides of a blank L/R file.

if the master out is selected as mono, even though i "save as " stereo, i will still get a mono file.

As stated in my first post i´m already using the audio montage feature.
I´ve used several times in the past but with stereo files. Now i need to use stereo and mono files at the same time.

I´ve just confirmed that nuendo handles the situation correctly: stereo track with stereo plugin and mono track with mono plugins working perfectly.

I could mix it in nuendo or similar but i need to burn 600 cds. I´m making radio ids ( song starts playing " hi , i´m the singer of that crappy teen dance trio and this is our new single blah blah" that sort of shit ). So it´s easier to replace the name of the radio and burn directly in the software just like wavelab does. well i guess that cubase/ nuendo don´t have a burn disc feature...do they ? ok i will process in nuendo and then burn in wavelab.
