sure. if you want to put the snare on its own midi track and use a sampler like battery that would work. also you could use drumagog or aptrigga. hit up the search here and you'll find a wealth of knowledge on those programs.
No need to put the snare on it's own track. Just route the midi track to both EZD and Battery and load the snare sample into Battery's corresponding cell.
