LIVE VAN HALEN DVD COMING!:
Good news folks - the David Lee Roth fronted Van Halen 2008 tour will be captured and released on DVD! One reader Eric, who just returned from the latest show sent me this message: "At tonight's show in NJ, Dave told the audience that it was the first night to be shot for a live DVD release.. I was very impressed by Eddie tonight.. he looked and sounded like the Ed from 1995.. Dave was, well, Dave... Wolfe did a good job, but Mike was badly missed, and Alex held the whole thing together..."
Sounds good to me!

As a life long VH member...very happy to hear this! The show in Worcester (1st leg) was great. Eddie and Co came back on the 2nd leg and have sounded even better.

Thanks 6.

You know I had an opportunity to see them here in Portland around my birthday last year and I passed. I couldn't convince myself to see them without Michael Anthony...This DVD is a good way to see what I missed and what I didn't I suppose...

You missed alot and should of went because this lineup with Dave will probably never happen again consider the VH brothers personalities with other band members Wolf notwithstanding... was a great great show and Michael Anthony not being there is not much a reason to miss this show imo... if you could go see VH with one missing member back in the day (when Sammy was part of them and not Dave) then you can do it now as well... was worth what i paid to go see them with Dave and to me it's a once in a lifetime thing in terms of reunions...

Well, I'm a big Mikey fan and think his talents on bass and more so the backround vocals are top notch. Wolfie has done well but lacks the persona that Mike has. However, this whole reunion tour was supposably brought on by Wolfie and the kid does have natural abilities like his dad.

I did see 2-shows on the last VH tour w/ Sammy and it was ok. Eddie was really messed up, disinterested and the tension was there throughout all members. Though he is not the greatest singer, Dave has brought the attitude and comrority back to the band and their intensity and setlist is great. Can't wait for this DVD!

Maybe, but you know I thought the same about the KISS Reunion back in 1996 and they are still at at...:p If the blow by here again I'll consider it...
