So who's seeing them, and who's boycotting them? Personally I'm boycotting them. There's absolutely no reason why Eddie should erase Michael Anthony from the bands existence. Anthony will be removed from the bands credits from what I understand, even stuff he helped write! Here's an excerpt from Anthony's blog. He shows a lot of class despite the way he's being treated.

First of all, I hope all of you are having a great Summer!! I want to thank everyone for all the support you're shown me during the past months. I'ts all been pretty crazy, and I just wanted to bring you all up to speed. Alot of you have been asking about the upcoming Van Halen tour and my response to it. It's not that I'm not touring with Van Halen because I'm going out with Sammy, I'm going out with Sammy because I was not invited to do the VH tour.
Sammy told me that if I was asked to be part of the VH tour and decided to do it, it would be totally cool, and it would not tarnish our friendship in the least!! Well it's not to be, and life goes on. I'll still be out there with Sam, and I can't wait to do some partying with all of you. One last note from myself to all the Van Halen fans out there who will be attending their shows...Wolfgang is a great kid, so don't judge him too harshly. I'm sure he'll do just fine!!....See you all soon, Mike

Personally I boycotted those faggots when I heard "Pretty Woman" & "Dancing in the Street" on top 40 pop radio.Don't even get me started when they officially sold out with "Jump" & the keyboard oriented sappy wuss crap they did with Hagar.I wrote them off a long time ago as a once great band that wimped out.
It's strange Metallica gets so much shit for their musical changes but VH who sold out 100 times worse, doesn't.I thought they would too!
But I agree what they did to Michael Anthony is unacceptable!

Neither really, I don't intend to pay a lot to see them, but if somebody gave me a ticket, I'd go.

I've never cared for Michael Anthony, I've always felt the best description of his playing was "inaudible". Even among those who like him, I've never found anyone wiilling to defend his bass playing, they just liked his backing vocals.

I think there was a joke about the easiest job in music being his, because he never even plugged in his bass.

I've met Michael Anthony a couple times..cool guy..I've had class with his daughter Elisha Anthony in high school..wish the best of luck for whatever goes on for the future for them lol.

Wow. Eddie looks great these days. Hope that his sobriety sticks this time. His life depends on it. Am waiting to read his recovery story and how he did such a remarkable turnaround. His guitar playing will surely be on fire again now that he is healthy. The Eddie we love is back!!

Van Halen is not all that relevant anymore. If they had done their reunion *RIGHT* back in the early to mid 90s and put out two or three albums instead of one or two singles, they would be sitting pretty these days.

But no, David's ego and Eddie's mental instability sank any ideas of that. To me it is not Van Halen until the four original members are on a stage playing songs. Anything less is not acceptable.

Not to even mention what they are charging for their concerts is pretty damn insulting, considering all the CTing they did in the 90s concerning a reunion. I don't need to throw down that much money to see Eddie shill his kid.

I used to underestimate Anthony, but he can sing against the grain of his bass playing really well. Unless that's something you've tried... well, you know. I have tried it, some of it isn't easy. Unchained is a hard tune to sing backing and play bass.
