Vertigo Guitars and my custom strat

So it comes down to the guitar itself and what its made of/from.... hmmm

I was considering upgrading my yamaha, but I get such a good tone out of the old girl I'm loathe to screw with it... I'm still trying to find out if that humbucker is stock or what.

my black Ibanez GX170 is another story... between the pickups and that damned g-string falling out of tune every five minutes (I can always hear a *clink* sound when I tune it up), that might be a major project... I have never had problems with the brand of strings I use (D'addario XL .010s)... but I'm open to suggestions, there.

I love my hybrid now that I am used to it.... I might go with .009s to compensate for the thicker neck... but we shall see!

Could be, but I have never been satisfied with any guitar; however, I just made an upgrade to the EMG 81, and I think it sounds much nicer, the tone, crunch are smoother, the treble is better, and the notes are more clear and distinct. Not as loud as my dual reds, but much smoother and energetic. Yea I saw here the EMG's and on Prist too, so I said to myself, oh these are the thing for pickups now.

If my Yamaha was actually left handed, she would be perfect. Its a physical challenge to play lead or solos on her, because I can only access the 15th fret comfortably. If there was one change I would make, its to have a hole drilled in her tremolo for a leftie bar.
